Royal Momiji Café (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and (once open) inside the café, how we use it, and your rights under Canadian law.

a) Through the website right now (pre-opening)

• We do not actively collect names, emails, or any personal details unless you voluntarily send us a message.
• Basic non-personal analytics: pages visited, time spent, device type, IP address, browser, and referring site (via lightweight tools such as Cloudflare, Plausible, or Google Analytics).

b) Once the café is open or when we add new features

• Reservation details: name, phone number, party size, date/time, and any special requests or allergy notes you provide.
• Mailing-list or birthday club sign-ups: name and email address.
• Contest/giveaway entries: whatever you choose to submit (usually Instagram handle or email).
• Payment information: processed securely by Stripe, Square, or similar – we never store full card numbers ourselves.
• Wi-Fi usage: device MAC address and basic connection logs (required by law for guest Wi-Fi).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To confirm and manage reservations and seating
• To send you reservation reminders, special offers, or cute updates (you can unsubscribe anytime)
• To accommodate dietary requests and keep you safe
• To improve our menu, service, and marketing
• To comply with health and legal requirements

3. Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses only necessary cookies and basic analytics. We do not run aggressive advertising trackers right now. When we add marketing pixels (Meta, TikTok, Google, etc.) in the future, you will be able to manage or decline them via the cookie banner.

We only share data with trusted partners who help us run the café:

• Reservation platforms
• Email marketing services
• Payment processors
• Cloud hosting and analytics providers

We use industry-standard encryption and security practices. Reservation data is kept only as long as needed (usually 6–12 months) and then deleted or anonymized.
